Hi all,

Recently got an 2017 m140i and noticed that under acceleration there’s a ticking/tapping noise coming from the drivers side middle/ front area (hard to pinpoint)

It’s got bmw approved warranty so is booked in but wondering if it’s common and what it could be? Theres no stones in the tyre or anything like that.

Its quite a fast tap maybe like 10/s and can’t tell if it increases frequency with revs as it is quite fast to begin with.

Next time I’m out I’ll try get a video but unlikely it will pick it up.

This is the noise, doesn’t happen at low revs and couldn’t hear it when revving in neutral. Its a very fast ticking
