Seen here is the most recent sighting of the upcoming 2012 F20 1-series 3 door hatchback. Compared to the last set of 1-series 3 door photos, this prototype has dropped some of its lighting camouflage in front and rear.

Compared to the current E81 1-series, this prototype appears more squat, with a wider stance a sportier and more angled tailgate.

According to our BMW longterm roadmap, we expect the next generation F20 1-series to debut at the 2011 Frankfurt IAA motorshow in September 2011.

Looking good =)
It's a shame they don't bring some of the cooler models over to NA.
It would be nice to have things like a 320d e92, 335i wagon etc
but i guess the market here just doesn't warrant them =(

WoW I really don't like that look of that. It looks completely unproportional.

I think the front end looks bloated, however i think that's because they received a really low euroNCAP rating for pedestrian safety. so this was their response....

stupid pedestrians....

I'm pretty sure it's the 3 door and they tried to use the camo to make it look like the 5 door. If that's a door, I can't see how it be very usable.

For us here in the States...it's hard to tell what the F20 will really look like based on this heavily disguised mule.
I'm very curious to see what the coupe and cabrio look like!
All US-version F20's better be RWD!
If not then I'll have to buy a 3 series next time around
