ipod keeps charging with Y cable
Hi everyone!
I'm new to the forum but i've been lurking around for some time now. I picked up my F20 last monday and I couldn't be more happier! I've been using my iPod with the Y-cable and I noticed that my iPod keeps charging when my engine is not running. I'm afraid my car battery will die at some point in time if i keep the ipod permanently on. I always forget to unplug the ipod when i get out of the car so... Should I worry about this? Has anyone noticed this too? Cheers! Dieter |

Charging the iPod battery doesn't have any measurable impact on the car battery. So don't worry if you forget pulling out the cable from time to time.
I would be more concerned about the iPod itself. It's a good habit not charging a battery permanently

As said above...after 10 mins, the car goes to sleep mode, so all electrical items are switched off.

I'm wondering if the average Apple dock-USB cable will work when the iPod is configured to work as a hard drive. The car will read it as an ordinary USB stick then, won't it?
