125 D Opinions?
Is the diesel rattle muted in the cabin?
I like our 320D you can hardly feel the diesel vibrations in the cabin. Unlike a Mercedes C250 D, that I drove... I could see the gear leaver shaking like a shitting dog. Any opinions on the 125 D? Currently eyeing up one with HK so would turn up the music to drown out the tractor and enjoy the trade off of the fuel economy. Also... the one I have my eye on does not have satnav... how easy is this to fit? Thank you |

I've been driving an F22 220d for 2 months.
I miss the petrol engine already. sound isolation is relatively poor compared to F30. The torque and acceleration is fun however the diesel engine noise is driving me crazy. this is my first diesel car in 15 years btw, maybe that's the reason. about the hk, mine has it. The HK on smaller cars (f20,f22) is different than the one they use in F30/F32 etc. Please bear in mind that the setup on F20/F22 consists of 12 speakers and 360 watt amplifier while the HK on F30 has 16 speakers and 600 watt amplifier. I find it adequate in such a small cabin though. by Satnav you mean NBT i suppose? It is not that hard to retrofit. approximately takes 2-3 hours to fit and code if you have the knack when it comes to tools There are tons of videos, topics on how to do it yourself. Good luck, and enjoy your new car Last edited by eray; 11-18-2016 at 07:51 AM.. |
