USNWR: Top 10 Luxury Brands

Well done to Porsche. BMW should be higher. Where is Lexus? Lincoln, a luxury brand?

1 - Porsche
2 - Genesis
3 - Land Rover
4 - Mercedes-Benz
5 - Tesla
6 - Lincoln
7 - BMW
8 - Audi
9 - Volvo
10 - Acura

Another useless list, top 10 based on what? This list really makes no sense to me, plus everyone on this forum knows that Tesla is not a real luxury brand.

Sorry I don't mean that it's not luxury. I just question the ranking.

They missed the mark here.

In my estimation, the "luxury" brands with the strongest appeal and customer retention have to be BMW, Tesla, Porsche, and maybe Lexus.

I agree Tesla isn't "luxury," but to the mass market of NPCs it is. They equate it with status.

Kind of a weird list... maybe based on price?

Hard for me to see Genesis as a true luxury brand because of its dealer network and current brand panache... many still see this as upper class Hyundai even though it isn't.

Tesla - again maybe just on price?

Lincoln - I don't know who this brand is even for anymore but I've never thought of them as a LUXURY brand.

Porsche - more of a performance luxury brand if you ask me... as opposed to traditional luxury.

BMW, Merc, Audi, Lexus and LR, I could at least see fitting in a traditional luxury category.

I keep seeing this talk about dealer network... what does that even mean? The worst dealer experience I've ever had was at BMW and I've had great experiences at none luxury brands like Ford and Toyota. It seems it varies a lot more from dealer to dealer than it does between brands.

Frankly for me the best dealer experience is not having to go to the dealer to start with.

so funny seeing all the peeps complaining about Tesla being a luxury brand

just cuz there isn't 35 buttons and knobs in the interior doesn't mean its not considered a luxury vehicle...

It's mostly driven by industry leading tech, performance and brand recognition

There is a consensus that Tesla is a luxury car brand. Tesla cars are equipped with various features, including cutting-edge technology features, superior performance capabilities, and extravagant and comfortable interiors that qualify the cars as luxurious. Tesla is currently the best-performing luxury car brands in the US.

https://vehiclehelp.com/is-tesla-con...ury-car-brand/

btw, Tesla is the already the best selling luxury brand in the world and outsold BMW and Audi combined in sales last year and its lead is growing this year ...and doesn't even advertise

that's crazy...especially for a company that was started in just the last decade and only offers four choices of vehicles to choose from.

We can talk facts and say it’s popular, people buy them, people love them but then you’ll have people say well McDonald’s sells a lot of food doesn’t mean it’s good lmaoooooooo

Ass backwards ass fucking logic. The brand is good. It’s not the best and it’s not perfect but the brand is damn fucking good. That’s why they sell out.

Elon even does a nice thing and drops the price to kill any market left for the “lower tier” ev.

Imagine having a model 3 long range for 35k? An 11.7 car with AB for 35k.

Gotta love it!

Using your logic, walmart is a damn good retail brand, and that's probably why they are always sold out of stuff too.

the genesis dealer network from everything i've heard is just not great... it doesn't feel like a premium dealership... in fact until genesis dealers popped up it was even worse, you were getting serviced next to the guy with a sonata...

as far as BMW... my man... don't come to my local chevy, toyota dealers... because those are like dollar general vs bmw which feels like a whole foods in comparo

If we are talking soley aesthetics then sure. The premium brands have nicer looking dealerships. Even the worst dealer I have ever dealt with which was a BMW dealer was pretty nice looking. However in my experience premium look != premium service. That BMW dealer had the NASTIEST loaners ever. Sometimes I would just not even bother getting one of their loaners. They would have all kinds of shit spilled in them, snot on the dash, stink etc. It would also take easily an hour to get out of there every time I would take it in and they would typically break more shit than they fixed. Oh and they also crashed my 335i. It didn't help that the car was a total pos and was always at the dealer.

says guy who has probably never even been in one , let alone spent anytime actually driving one

well, it has much nicer faux leather than my BMW and the bluetooth actually works without issues unlike my BMW that was a constant PITA and doesn't have any plastic buttons....also rides just as well as any BMW I've ever owned, has heated front/rear seats and security that BMW could only dream of with six cameras that record anything that gets near your car...not to mention smashes 90% of most other luxury cars in performance and safety....go figure

the Tesla hate is palpable around here

good to see BMW stepping up their EV. game though
