F20 N13 O2 sensor troubleshooting

Hy Guys,

Around 2 months ago my F20 114i have been throwing a bunch of code and CEL related to post cat o2 sensor. I took it to BMW where I was told from the mechanic at the service department that my oxygen sensor needs to get replaced.

So I replaced the sensor, reset the codes and the problem has gone but only for a couple of weeks. After around ~700-800 km it throw a CEL again. This time I got only one P013E code. Before replacing the O2 sensor I could not even drive 5km without getting a lot error codes. After the replacement it seemed to work fine till now.

I find it hard to believe that problem is the O2 sensor again. How should I troubleshoot this? Any input is appreciated.

Refer the issue to the official BMW service. Explore your customer rights: if they've changed a sensor just recently and it fails again you should be eligible to a free warranty replacement of the sensor. This should induce them to dig deeper! Is your car under warranty still? You might have a chance of getting a courtesy (///M ) car if they need to keep yours for a thorough examination...
