Four of my high school class of '65 classmates were killed in Vietnam. One of my teammates on our team of 5 was killed. He had only been in-country for 30 days. 19 years old.

So from my point of view, Memorial Day has become way too commercialized.

Yep, grilling can happen anytime of the year here in SoCal as long as it's not raining.

It’ll probably blow your mind but some of us eat ice cream throughout the winter, even outside when it’s snowing.
Like I said, I've never been to a BBQ in winter and never met anyone who did that.

Everyone else is posting the same thing...BBQ's start Memorial Day...

You do live in an alternate reality or really enjoy trolling because most people in this thread have said the exact opposite of what you’re saying. You do you my friend.

Shit, we grill year round in Kansas City including 15 degree weather. I've used my smoker in 20 degree weather. We grill probably 3 times a week. Snow, rain, sun, etc.. I also drive my M235 in the salty snow and my Cayman in the winter as well. We live on the edge!

I don't even understand this topic. Maybe I need to move somewhere where there are actual seasons. Where I live, we grill anytime we like all year long. I don't need to figure out when and when not to grill. I just need to be hungry and ready for a great meal cooked at home.

Even when I go skiiing and have the Weber surrounded by snow on the deck, I have been known to get the snow shovel out and clear a path. BBQ, anytime, anywhere!

We had perfect weather here yesterday and its looking like another day of it today. Yesterday started out in the low 60's, and stayed in the 70's all day, at least on the lake it did. So I fished all day, my wife and 4 yr old are good for about 1 hour then they get bored, so I took them in and just enjoyed bass fishing all day. Got a bit too much sun, but on days like that where the weather is perfect, oh well .
