Don't listen to the naysayers. You don't need 500 hp for a car to be fun.

I don't know if your car has launch control, but if it does you'll need to warm the motor (7ish miles I believe), drop into sport plus, kick shifter to the sport position, stand on brake and gas, verify launch flag comes up on dash, then release brake.

Taxes in Norway are complete insanity. A bare minimum naked 116d sets you back like $40k already. Not everyone can afford a $70k 330i or a $130k M4

Are poor northern Europeans with their crazy taxes "not allowed" to do launch control?

Additionally, if you ever needed a managed launch mechanism, you need it in a car with not much power in order to use all of it...

But does the 116d come with the sport transmission, the one with the handles on the steering wheel? I thought not? I suspect it does not support this feature.

it doesnt matter what auto gearbox you have, left foot on the brake right foot on the accelerator and it will rise and stay at 3k rpms....then simply lift off the right foot.....tried and tested on 316d normal automatic gearbox
