New Car
So, the guys from BMW called me last week after collecting my car to attend to the issues I previousy raised....
They need to replace the entire dashboard to resolve the problems !!! I quickly mailed them advising that this is a new car and once you start messing with dashboards etc. you are left with a legacy of problems like....... leaking rattling aircon issues electronics fitting and alignment with existing trim possible damage to eixsting trim on installation the list goes on........... Well, for those of you who doubted BMW after sales service, I have some news for you......... They are replacing my car with a new one ! Am getting the exact specification the only difference is I cannot get the same colour immediately. So, they have one in Alpine White which I am taking. I also insisted on keeping my Trubine Rims which they are happy to do for me. BMW Forever.......pics to follow once I get my new baby. |

I've never heard such a decision taken by any dealer. They just try to fix it under guarantee terms. So, how did they justify it? What was so wrong as to offer a new one?? PS: yes, we need pics!! |

Indeed, the colour grew on me and I will miss it. The lines show up beautifully once nice and clean. Anyway, white also looks really nice. I hadn't seen a white one in the flesh yet and I saw one over the weekend.
Looks good too. Suppose I must be fortunate that I'm getting a replacement car. |
