Mercedes Suspending V8 Models in the US Market

"Supply chain" is the reason.

Has anyone heard of wide ranging model restrictions from Porsche or BMW?

I'm assuming something related to emissions/regulations also has to do with it, but I'm not educated enough on that. G-Wagon market will likely get even crazier with no orders for a year.

I can only hope BMW experience a shortage of grilles.

The internal memo implies it's supply chain, because they will try to find ways to resume production.

Kinda puts complaining about soft close doors supply chain issues into perspective.

It's supply chain, from what I've read they fully intend to resume production once able to.

Who knows how many more years they'll even be allowed to. Clearly a lot of people really love these hand-crafted V8 Mercs. One embarrassed me the other day and sounded glorious doing it.
