CBS - Spark Plugs and Coolant ?

CBS (Condition Based Servicing) only features Oil Change, Brake Pads & Inspection, Vehicle Check ... staus & alerts

Anyone know how a BMW Dealer calculates when its Time / Mileage to change Spark Plugs & refresh Coolant ?

Yes, I have RTFM, checked BMW website etc !

Did you? RTFM, page 253: "With every second engine oil change. Replace spark plugs". AFAIK, coolant is not supposed to be replaced, only maintained. Brake fluid should be replaced after 3 years the first time and then every 2 years.

I had my spark plugs replaced at 40000+ km. (third or fourth oil change) to preserve the (more expensive) ignition coils and due to some audible instability when idling. Idling improved.

Thats why I asked - having not believed the oil change reference .... and seeing NGK say 20 to 30K miles.

Thanks for the Coolant info - there seems to be a debate about how efficacious the anti-coprrosive is after 4 years ... mine doesnt even show a colour any more ! (2019 M140, with some 15K on the clock)

My car was initially set to 30000 km. service interval. That would make spark plugs change at 60000 km. An official service reset service interval to 15000 km. and local BMW forum claimed oil change at 10000 km. at most: second-hand buyers want it better than new and for free.

The colour is only a dye. Of course you can replace the coolant for your peace of mind any time.
