Mad Sunday at the Ring in the M135i
First time back at the ring for a couple of years, didn't start well it lashed it down till early morning but it was like a crash fest cars in the barrier all along the circuit I sometimes wonder why I both with TF I managed to get in 4 laps all day, here is a video of the first lap a bit damp in places with a few of the crash victims dotted around the circuit

Nice vid. I wonder if the M3 driver is looking around for an M135i now.

Very calm driving style. Looks like you know the track well. Your M135i really flies up Kesselchen. My 116i would have struggled to get back up to speed after slowing down for the crashed car at Bergwerk.
I like you camera angle. How did you install it? Does it sit on the passenger seat head rest? |

I've done about 200 laps over the years at the ring,Yeah it does help if you have plenty of bhp up Kesselchen T\F is for fun now with a few friends. For the camera,i have a piece of wood( don't laugh) with drill holes for tie cords, which attach the the headrest bars, and a clamp on the end for the camera. It seems to work ok and its easy to take off, all finished in black duck tape |

I am surprised about how many drivers go faster than their own abilities at the Ring, when the risk is so obvious. The speed is high, and recovery areas slim to none. I always hold back a little extra at the dangerous sections. I did however get stuck in the gravel trap at Aremberg some years ago, as I don't see that one as risky. I finally nailed Schwedenkreuz in the rain, and approached Aremberg at rather high speed with no ABS.
(Well, not exactly in the rain, but the track was still wet, with no dry line) |

Yes, it all ended well. I actually got the rescue covered as well, so I just lost some track time. I was at a 3 day driving school which have in fact participated in 5 times over the years. Now it doesn't exist anymore. With the F20, I just have a few tourist laps.

Very clean driving style Curly.
Your M135i appeared to stay fairly flat through the corners. Have you done any mods to the suspension. I also liked your camera work. After your explanation, I now understand why it looked a bit jittery over the bumps. |

Hi, and thanks! Not been to the ring for a while so still a bit rusty, sometimes I use the paddles and other times the stick for a change
Yeah the car is stock no mods,it goes well standard, but I'd say it needs a LSD for track when it's wet. |
