Stock exhaust + M Performance diffuser + M Performance chrome tips

So my M240i is waiting for me to pick her up in January so now only what I can do in spare time is to search for some parts.
My main idea is for now:
Keeping the stock muffler and adding M Performance diffuser with chrome M Performance exhaust tips.

Dealer told me that there is no chance about realising this combo, but I'm pretty sure there is a way. From what I know stock muffler is too short or too long to stick the Performance tips out from a diffuser.

Could you guys please correct my thoughts about this and give me the right way to do and for what to ask?

Should work fine. I used the stock exhaust for a bit with the MP diffuser until I got the MP exhaust installed.

Tips will stick in a little bit, but it's not bad at all. The exhaust finisher should allow you to extend the tips out.

You can also go with the MP carbon exhaust tips.

Stock exhaust (no extension) with MP diffuser:

And with the adjustable MP carbon tips. I moved them in slightly since this pic was taken.

Thanks! I will probably try it without extenders and than I will see. Can't go wrong like this.
The tips are direct fit for stock exhaust?

Yes, the carbon tips are from BMW and a direct fit. They use an adjustment screw on the underside to clamp and adjust the tips.

My car has this mod, standard box but with M performance tips. you need the adaptors or the pipes look silly when sitting right far back in the diffuser...just looks wrong. U can slide the trims back and forth to get the right look for you.
Good luck.

Oh, once more - with adaptors you mean chrome ///M tips or some other part?
Sorry for my mistake, just want to know for what to pay when I want chrome tips to stick the same as yours do

It is another part "tailpipe finisher adapter" comes with two sleeves and two clamps. Extends the stock tailpipes and increases the diameter slightly. Cutting the stock tailpipes is required for install, but it is pretty easy. Don't have the part # handy. A simple web search will find the part.
Found it 18302287042

Can you clarify on the purpose of cutting the tailpipes?

They are called intermediate pipes...the tailpipe finisher is just the exhaust tip.

I did them on my MP Exhaust, super easy as you mentioned.

The intermediate pipes only slip over about an inch of the pipe, so you need to cut the original pipe to fit them.

Ok, thanks . Bmw logic. If they would make chrome tips compactible with stock exhaust pipes and make them 25$/ each more expensive, it would save us a problem

Not trying to be argumentative but the intermediate pipe is between the cat and muffler. BMW calls them exhaust finisher ADAPTERS
see here at shop bmw usa- http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/47...-2876D059C8E4=

The purpose of them is not just to extend the tail pipes it also increases the size of the tailpipe to fit the M performance tips which are designed to be used with the M performance exhaust. The M performance exhaust has larger tailpipes than the stock muffler. The stock exhaust tailpipe is cut to remove the locating pins and provide room for the extension/increaser. Some people have just cut off the pin. Then there is just more overlap of the adapter and tailpipes. If the tips were sized to fit the stock tailpipes they would not fit the MP exhaust.
