This one takes me back. It was one of my favourites back in the (dare I say it) seventies.
I saw Elton John in Toronto in 2019 the night after his mother in-law passed away. He postponed the tour after that show. He talked for about five minutes about how much music and family meant to him and that he needed to spend more time with his children. I don't think there was a dry eye in the whole stadium.

Which leads me to another track from that soundtrack and related to some stuff I posted earlier. Sorry for me geeking out about the electronic stuff but this is awesome to me.
The scene when Scarlett is traveling around Kyoto by herself and there's a tune by the French group Air playing "Lost in Kyoto". I loved that scene from the movie so when I came across this cover of it, well let's just say I appreciated it. I guess it's partially due to the extensive amount of time I spent living in Japan. This guy State Azure (out of the UK) is just spot on with his stuff. Coincidentally he does covers for a bunch of music I really like from a long time ago. |

Okay this is the last one from State Azure. This is a brilliant cover of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" with a female vocalist. The videography is fascinating too. Masterful.

I like this one. I'll have to take some time to listen to more State Azure.

Definitely, please do and let me know what you think. I saw that he does live streaming sometimes and he was experimenting with Vangelis stuff like from the movie Blade Runner. This stuff really hit a vibe with me because the music he is covering are related to movies from a long time ago I really enjoyed.

Such a damn good song even after all these years. Crisp production, simple yet beautiful melody. Fantastic and effortless singing. Only an American band could deliver something powerful like this.
