Buy yourself one of the leather fob wraparound accessories. They come with different accent colours.
A bit fiddly to put on because of a ridiculous star Allen key they give you to deal with a securing screw, but it feels nicer in your pocket.

hmm.. i'd actually quite like an all black one.
why BMW did this key colour thing is beyond me, it's just increased costs that piss people off when they get the 'wrong one'

The Service chaps at my dealership said that the 'Estoril Blue' accent colour was the official designated colour for 'M' stuff.

I kind of liked the old style key you could twist to start and stop the engine. Now I sometimes do silly things like starting the engine again when I want to kill the radio before getting out of the car.

Pisses me of. Being a design phag I like colour coordination. White car with red interior and blue key..... it clashes..... it's completely unacceptable, my key should have the red bit.

The key should be in your pocket so that you cant see it. Damn if we start making a fuss about the colour of your KEY! You can already change every bit of the car in nearly any colour you want, surely that should be all that matters. To put in in the words of Mr Ford: you can have your key fob in ANY colour you like, so long as it is black with a blue stripe
