low tire pressure
Greetings,
I have in my possession a BMW 1 Series (F21), is my first BMW and so far im loving it. Yesterday, i got a message in my idrive system saying that i did have a low tire pressure ( it didn’t specify which tire ) but it was not a big deal and I could continue my trip without any issue. At end of the day i decided to go to a gas station to fill my tires, and there it was the problem, see, my tire pressire in front tires was something like 1.8 BAR and the back ones 1.9 BAR ( I have a 225/55 tire ) the first time i really didn’t follow precisely the recommendations that are on the driver door ( they suggest to put 2,6 BAR at front and 2,8 BAR in the back tires ) and I did do was to put 2,5 BAR in all of them, then I restart my tire pressure on idrive and proceed my trip. After sometime, the tire pressure reset system was at like 53% completation, and suddenly he did stop and ask my to verify my tire pressure once again, i did it ignore at first because I was almost reaching my destination, i pull over the car and I would solve that when i could. 1 hour have passed, i go back to my car, I push the button to start the car and all of suddenly I got a light in my dash saying that I have really low pressure on the tires and that I should not go over 130km/h, not gonna lie I start to panick a bit, i went immediately to the gas station, and follow correctly then recommendation on the driver door, problem is, the sensor on my tires never update now, I put the right pressure, and everytime i start the car and proceed to realize the tire pressure reset after he reach the 3/5% it says that my tire pressure is low and doesn’t update to the real tire pressure, for example, like I said I’m the beginning the front tire recommendation pressure is 2,6 BAR, and on my idrive shows me that I have 2.2 BAR on the right tire and 1.6BAR on the left one, and never updates it. You can probably see by now that I’m really panicking, today I’m planning to take him to the warranty ( unfortunately is not a BMW service but a bosch service ) Did this happen to anybody else? Could be the sensors that die? Sorry for the long post. Thanks |
