Estoril Blue vs. Alpine White
Hey Guys.
I'm planning on picking up a new 116i and i'm thinking about the color for quite a while. As I'll go for the M-Package, i have to decide between Alpine White and Estoril Blue. For the moment i guess I'd go for Estoril, but the problem is that I never saw it in real, only on pictures. I'm afraid that I won't like it in a few months. How do you think? Any suggestions? Thank you and greetings from cold Bavaria. |

Oh yeah I saw VO on your's already and its really awesome to look at, but somehow I think it just doesn't grow on me on the F20.
I don't know why. IMO it looked better on the 1er M |

If you enjoy cleaning your car go for a white one. White has been in vogue for a while now, I see loads in London but it doesn't always look right. There's a new 3er round my way that is always filthy and has a bit of an austerity spec going on, the white paint just screams "I was the cheapest colour".
I don't see many EB Beemers at all here, but going by the forums it's by far the most popular colour on an M Sport which would put me off personally. So neither. Happy to help! |

Thanks for your opinions at first!
She is absolutely stunning AusF20!! And because of pictures like yours, I think I'll go for EB. How long do you have her now? @elstoof: You're right. Here at my place I see tons of white Beemers and most of them look terrible with dirt on them, like you said, but never saw one EB. Thats why I think it would be the right choice to go for it. Which color would be your choice then? |

I've gone for Mineral Grey on my 125i and I quite like the relatively inconspicuous, and debadged look - most importantly it's one that both me and the wife liked. We're not spoiled on M Sport colourways, my last car was blue so EB was out. Silver looks like a rental car, black is black.. Would've had orange were it up to me alone but then I get a bit kinky for orange and it would have matched my Wilier carbon racing bike beautifully.

It'll be like a wolf in sheepskin with the Mineral Grey and debadged. If you would've had VO you wouldn't have that inconspicuous I guess. And I'm sharing your opinion with silver and black, they're just boring.
My E46 is Bright-Red, so I want to go to something more like EB or AW. |

M Sport already comes with a decent enough parts list, those seats are good enough for me not to want leather and climate control means no need for comfort pack. All I took was xenons, electric seats and pro nav basically. HK would be nice but if I'm in the car I prefer to enjoy the drive than the tunes - if I want good music I've got my Grado headphones at home where I can really listen to all the nuances.

Chewed at that question for days
Ordered a 135i and the 2 most difficult questions were undoubtedly
Now 3 days into a holiday trip and EB still looks good even with a light coating of road grime....never happens with White. Also, there're thousands of grubby white cars on the road but only a few M-Sport BMWs in EB. |
