It's funny how Ford was comparing the ST to the GTI, and supposedly the ST out did the GTI in performance. Not according to this race. Go back to your drawing board FORD.

While I love the GTI and prefer it to the ST, I believe the one in the race was the 35th edition GTI which has 230 hp and not the standard 200.

The hatchback version will not sell in the USA. I like the versatility of a hatch, but it doesn't look right on a BMW. A wagon fine (although we don't buy those either), but the 1 series in a hatchback looks downscale....
