Hello all so recieved my new box today so next week going to change gearbox and clutch anyone changed the clutch without a alignment tool as bmw want over 100 for a tool ill probably only use once any ideas what else I can do and any heads up about taking off gearbox things I should look for and not do etc any advice will be great thanks

I haven't done that on an F20, but I replaced a clutch on a VW Transporter using only a wooden broom shaft for alignment. It is not rocket science.
