Hi,

My pre lci 116i F20 pack M sport 2012 bas ben Repair on his body. The 2 mirrors side exterior has been replaced with 2 second hand mirror but when there are plug the switch in the driver door don’t work. The mirror don’t work also when we touch the button to fold or unfold them or to set mirror inclinaison. I think there are a lci mirrors parts. Do I need to code something in order they work in my pre lci?

Hi,

Of course you don't need to code mirrors (unless you want to enable/disable advanced features?). You only need them to match and be connected. That is, if they don't work at all they are either not connected or not compatible.

The mirrors don't look the 1 Series', they are ///M car show-off. I recall some people have the same looking mirrors retrofitted with no complaints, though. There are "shrouds" available: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=03_4932.

The features you mentioned (auto folding, auto dip) need to be supported though: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_A482.

Hello No one, it is mirror for a F20. I have just change the cap mirror :-). I think the New mirror is for LCI and mine is a pre lci. Do you think need to code something to be compatible ? When I plug mirror glass move but not with the switch.

LCI and pre-LCI mirrors are the same: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=51167268597. I don't think you need to code anything but you do need to have the mirrors support the extra features you have available in your car (auto folding and auto dimming, auto dipping probably takes any mirror but needs support by the car).
