CO2 Emissions 120d
Hi. Just noticed that the co2 is now 119-121. Previously it was 119. This means road tax will now be tax band d which is £95 instead of £30. Not happy. Has anyone else noticed this?

The measures depend on auto or manual gearbox, and wheel size. That's why there is i 'from-to' value.
The German spec of March 2012 states 116-119 for the auto and 119-122 for the manual. Yet another reason to go for the 8-speed auto

Probably they have mixed up the values for manual and auto. Auto has the lowest figures. I did a quick check in the spec of the car I have in order (from BMW Norway) - which confirms the figures

hmm well, I have known about this since the launch, but that's because my dealer was aware about the details. Think bmw haven't spoken loudly about this fact that it's only a sub 120-grammer with 16 inch wheels...
auto or manual doesn't matter... mine is manual and is 119g with 16inch, but not on 17 inch or bigger. I'd like to see the benchmarks proving that the 120d on for example 205/65-16 is 119g while same car on 205/45-17 is 121g or whatever :/ I'm sceptical. I find it very strange that "they" (whoever decided on this) to say 16 inch = 119g, 17 inch = 121 or whatnot. They don't take into account what kind of material the rim is, or what kind of tyres that are on the wheels... If I'd go for the german-styling-look with 16 or even 15 inch, with super wide 245 tyres or something, I'd be a sub 120grammer enviromental friendly in the book, but in the reality that would be much worse than 205/45-17. |
