Next to your left leg when you're in the driver seat.

Thanks Westphone.

I'm assuming that translates to right leg if I'm in Australia? :-)

Location of OBD2 Port

I am sorry I forgot we drive on different sides, but you are correct the OBD2 port is in the same relative position.

Cheers~

The picture is not an 1 series, but it shows where it is generally

Sorry for resurrecting this thread. Is there any chance, that in BMW 114d business OBD is in different place? Looked near the trunk opening handle, but no sign of any kind of sliding door. There is small hole, covered with snap cap, but first it is empty, and second size is not compatible with OBD plug size

Trunk? It is over the hood/bonnet opening handle.

Strange. I thought all cars had to have that.

Yep, that is the question. It should be there. I am pretty sure it is somewhere , but I did not find it yet. Googling gives no results as well, it is not there , what search says

In my 2014 F20 116d it's behind that vertical pillar. The port is in a horizontal position about 5 cm behind where everyone else says it is. No cover to open, just feel around and you'll find it.
