Considering half of BMW's line-up is some variation of the large grilles, they've made their position loud and clear.
Large is fine. 7 sided, disproportionate, and unintegrated with the rest of the car is obviously a mistake they're trying to avoid here.
Ehhh, I think they are simply incorporating aspects of a concept car. If BMW wanted that grille to permeate the line-up, that's the grille that would be permeating the line-up…..

….but it's not.

Not that specific grille, just smaller and more in line with the last several decades. The G80 grille doesn't permeate BMW either. Far from it. It's a one-off, even in comparison to the very old grille it's suppose to emulate.

Looks to me like it exhibits a fair amount of controllable oversteer. You can see the rear rotate at turn in and hold the angle through the corner. A real driver's car.

Wish BWM could've started off with this normal looking grill. Looks much classier & sophisticated if you ask me.

Per usual BMW manages to disappoint its fans once again. They 'celebrate' 50 years of M and they come up with a car that an average tuning company can come up with and do it for a way cheaper price.

Hurdles which the grill had to overcome were front plate location and EU pedestrian impact regulations.

Shame that the majority of these will likely live their lives in a climate controlled garage instead of being driven on the track.

I really hope they put more effort into making a much more refined manual transmission for this special model.. just won't cut it if it's just like the standard bmw 6MT box at this price
