Hi,
Does anyone know what the maximum psi should be for the above car?
The mrs car does not seem to be performing as well as it used to do just wanted to start ruling out possibilities.

Maf sensor out of spec more likely. This will affect the boost pressure so if boost seems low, it doesn't mean the map sensor is faulty.

Sorry don't know what the pressure should be - at a guess, around 1.5bar +

OK great, I'll see what it boosts to and go from there, there's no engine lights or fault codes so could be fun!

Out of spec maf sensors don't cause a fault codes so very hard to diagnose except by swapping out.

If the car is some years old and there is no record of it having been changed, I'd just bite the bullet and change it.

buycarparts.co.uk have a good choice depending on how much you want to spend.

Right ok that's great, thanks for the info. Is the MAF the same as the intake manifold pressure sensor?

No MAF is mass airflow sensor and is just after the airfilter.

MAP is the boost pressure sensor. Sometimes the MAP sensor benefits from being cleaned.
