As for candles, dude; that's spot on. Low light/candles, good music, (If you need some new tunes, check out Chet Faker, Alex Claire, Two Feet, Hippie Sabotage, Glass Animals) and have your place smelling good (I use teak wood air diffusers from Bath and Body Works).

As for music...Im always down for new recommendations if any of you have some good ones....excluding country. Hard to set the mood with that garbage.
I love Yankee Candles. For Valentine's Day last year I went all out for the cunt I was seeing. Even took leftover Niteshades spray & hit my dining room bulbs for that dim look

The key is to be a bit of both. Be a manly man but also someone who cleans up nice and she isn't afraid to take to a family gathering or out to a nice restaurant.

Santeria Sublime
...
A song about hunting down your ex-girlfriend's new man and shoving a .45 down his throat? Que romantico..

I truly love how little people listen to Sublime's lyrics. "Wrong way" is absolutely amazing. Take a song about banging a 12 year old prostitute and put it to a poppy beat and suddenly I'm hearing it on the "Hits of 90s" bullsh*t ez-listening station in my dentists' office. Dude, is no one hearing these lyrics? I'm thinking to myself as I'm trying not to laugh as I look around the room and see middle aged women bobbing their heads and tapping their toes to the catchy beat.

EMF's Unbelievable is a great one that no one knows the lyrics to. Most used F-bomb in public as no one picks up on it. After the chorus during the guitar riff there is a sample of a man saying "What the fuck.....was that? It's unblelievable." For decades no one has got it.

My mom bought me the cassette for Christmas when I was a teenager and the lyrics were inside the sleeve. I've told people about this for years. I always get cracked up at sporting events seeing holier than thou people dancing and trying to sing it and they have no idea that subliminal profanity is hard at work here.

At least in real life you've already seen the person and know if they're fat or disfuncional on first impressions.

I got one in these 10 days. That's good enough.
The bullshit makes it not worth it.
One of my best friends hit #30 this past weekend. His strategy? Just chat to girls in real life about anything. His favorite spot are coffee shops where he will study or do some personal work then strike up conversation. He will date girls for several weeks then dip when he gets bored.

He hasn't done Tinder or any apps in over 3 years.

you guys remember that bdsm chick, right?
she says she did that because she thought respect comes through power and control of someone (red flag 1) and "figured" i dont respect her (literally until she confessed that it was fine) and that's why she tried to pull that shit off (red flag 31000000)

10/10 will lead some poor dude to shoot himself in the balls one day because of her antics

"fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me" ---> applies because i truly have an issue with crazy chicks i keep on attracting them and/or being attracted. what might be wrong with me?

We're programmed to be attracted by the crazy. The crazier they are, the harder we fall for them.

I see your signature says you are from the NW and the Midwest. Wondering which of those locations your friend is from? I can see his technique being a goldmine in the midwest and failing miserably in the NW. Around here (Seattle) people are generally the most unfriendly and closed off of anywhere I have lived or visited. No one will look you in the eye. Any coffee shop you enter is a sea of people with headphones on, watching their electronic devices, shutting out the whole world. People legitimately give you the look of death if you even talk to them and say "hello." I grew up in Seattle and never knew any different. It wasnt until I started traveling extensively for work that I realized something was off. I still remember this chick striking up a conversation with me while in the TSA line at the airport. She was very friendly and pretty and my immediate gut reaction was to think "F*uck off, why are you talking to me? I'm in a hurry, no one likes the security line, I'm irritated, and you're chatting me up about nothing?" She said she was headed home to Chicago. I retold the story to a friend who grew up in the Chicago area and that's when he enlightened me that Seattle is pretty much F'd." I never knew!

So anyway, curious if your buddy who cleans up with the women in coffee shops by just chatting and being real is from Chicago or the NW.

This would be the case in New England as well. Women are extremely difficult to approach here.

On a related note one of my friends is having lots of interesting matches on Tinder. Literally 4/5 of his matches are with poly women. I didn't realize this was so popular. One of their profiles says "in a happy long term relationship with 4 other amazing guys but open to more". I was like dude RUN from that one. She wasn't even super attractive or anything.

I lived in the Boston area for 7 years; as bad as NE was it was nothing like Seattle! NE was hard to develop deep, real, relationships. At least in Boston you could always open with "Hey, you catch that game (Sox, Pats, Bruins, Celtics) last night?" and there was about a 95% chance the persona would answer "yes" and you're in.

I'm surprised it was not 5 out of 5. The "poly" thing is the new fad. I'm happily married blah blah we're in an "ethical non-monogamous relationship" etc. Look, if you wanna fuck around, who cares?! Just be honest with yourself that you're a slut/manwhore. I especially love those poly hags that also say they're not looking for just sex. WTF do you think you're gonna get? No one is gonna wine & dine you. Go out with your husband for that, cunt.

Yeah I thought all this stuff only happened in the Northwest with a certain group of religious people.

Hmm I wonder why the number of people with STDs is skyrocketing?
