New Driver , 17 in the UK , what BMW should I get

Hello there,

I am new to this forum, and I'm 17 right now and looking to buy a BMW. What would you guys recommend, my budget is around £15k or so (all in all). Thanks very much and have a nice day!

P.s I have driven the f30 3 series and it was amazing

How much of your budget is for the insurance?
Given your age and where you live any BMW with serious performance will be mighty expensive to insure.

Therefore, look at a diesel, or you might find an i3 for £15k, no ved and no London emissions charges.
They are quick - 170bhp but max torque from 0mph and no turbo lag or gearchanges but you need to be able to charge at home on the off peak, which costs pence.

Get 1 series 125d, very economical and very nice car to drive. Later when you get bored of the 224stock HP, you can map it to 260+ (some even go to 280+) and have fun with it. This is cheap to drive car, very good on fuel and has extremely good performance. As young person you will enjoy it a lot, but have to be careful because when pushed it goes
