Oh, and for the record, my average speed over 8,000 k is 69kph
Very good figures you have going on there

Very nice. You must now change what you drive on your profile.
Still showing that you drive a BMW 335d M-Sport.

Sometimes when I drive fuel friendly before filling up the tank, the car indicates a range of more than 1000 km. That is pretty good considering the rather small tank size.

Yes, a bit like my M135i, which -- when I've been tenderfooting -- says I have a range of 820k

Managed to get a fuel consumption of 5,1 l/100 km (according to the journey computer) on a approx. 1000km journey, including some stops, a lot of 70km/h and 80km/h speed limit zones, and some 100km/h motor way zones. Average speed: 70 km/h. Almost all the 100km/h zones were done with cruise control active. PS: all driving was done in Sport mode.
I'm sure I could get it lower (at least under 5,0) but didn't drive with fuel saving in mind all the time.

Drove from Stavanger and almost to Oslo and back to Stavanger again, around the south coast of Norway.

Have also done som real life consumption calculations (checked the gas receipt against the mile coverage on the tank), and it seems like real life consumption is always 0,2 l/100km higher than the journey computer says.

The computer in the middle of the dials says:
Avg. overall fuel consumption after 27500km distance covered: 7,1 l/100km. 70% city driving.

My previous car was a Golf mk6 1.4tsi and could only get that into the 30's on motorway journeys so i couldnt get it out of the 20's (same driving style as the 116d)... Amazing

So quite a cost saving decision to drive a BMW isn't it?

I'm only 600 miles into the cars life but the dash is displaying a healthy 55.9 mpg. I'm going to start to log its real mpg and log improvements with age. I'm being anal with this one and eeking out every last mile from every tank as my hole justification for buying this car was on money saved through improved mpg and no maintenance bills
