It depends. Non-CO2 foams will likely be somewhat effective with next generation battery designs that have no lower oxide content in the cathode. Right now, they are potentially self sustaining because the oxygen is supplied internally.

There are agents out or in development to help with battery fires.

Things get better with time.

Tesla is a major threat to many, which is why people hate them.

Anything great, people hate. Whether it's an athlete, an product people love, a particular clothing style people set the trend with. Whatever is "IT", people hate.

When people hate tesla, goes to show how well they are doing. Can't stop them now but car makers can only try. I think they'll catch up. Not in 3-5 years though. More like 6-8 years.

I love these EV battles!

ICE fans on thanksgiving:

Thank you EV drivers for not being on the road exploiting our obsolete technology while you're home all nice with the family charging your amazing 0-60 in 2 second EV cars. Our gas cars need our time on the road finally without all you EV's out there!

EV fans on thanksgiving:

No problem ICE nerds. Your time is almost up. Happy thanksgiving!

LOL right.

Bye bye warranty. And the S58 sounds like shit. I know, i have one.

Plaid is a silent killer, like cancer. Kills everything in comfort, and silence. And you can even have friends in the back while doing it too

Who gives a shit about building these days LOL.

That's why there's many tiers of performance cars that come with a warranty. So you don't have to touch them.

EV's are so fast, you just get in and go. And stomp your "build" into pieces.

My point is, what you buy is what you get with an EV. Yes they're fast and can take out almost any ICE vehicle on the road, but it ends there. Part of the fun of owning a car, in my opinion, is making it your own. The mechanical parts that can be upgraded and changed to make your car different from your neighbors. Whether that be for speed, sound, etc. It's part of the reason why so many people are on these forums as well. If you buy a Plaid because you want the fastest thing out there, the only thing to do if you want more, is buy another newer/better car. From an enthusiasts standpoint, they become so disposable. There's no legacy or history that comes along with an EV and the ownership...newer will always be better (like a cell phone). I doubt people are going to be looking back on old Plaids in 10-15 years and feeling nostalgic enough to want to "bring back the good ol days ". Every model year will be forgotten, and it's that part of car culture that will be forgotten as well. Makes me sad.

Don't waste your breath. This is a person that laughs at people's vehicles being "taken away from them". He's an immature troll.

That's why you need a car that can beat the plaid. One of these days I will catch 1 when I'm in the GTR. Can't wait to see the look on the Chad's face when I walk him

This isn’t the 90s or the 2000s. Car makers build their performance cars that will exceed any of the buyers capabilities.

How many proven studies have shown that in the multi billion dollar business of modifying cars more often than not and the number is probably staggering that when people modify their car it makes the car WORSE. Or you can pay a shop to do the work and claim “my car was built not bought” lmao. And lose your warranty in the process. Worry about noises, engine blowing up, tune being right and all that bullshit to your expensive car just to go 1 more second faster in the 1/4 lol.

These ev’s will all soon be 11, 10 or 9 second daily drivers that give you full confidence of not only being safe with the latest tech, but the all wheel drive and the fierce urgency of going fast because of the electric motors.

Imagine daily driving a 9 second car with a warranty.

Yeah that’s a plaid.
