I got this yesterday. Its a little smaller than the divers I normally wear but I love it so far. I wanted something Explorerish and smaller to daily wear.

Sinn makes a damn good watch.

I've got a Sinn 856 UTC that I wear when I'm flying.

It's *utterly* bombproof-- anti-magnetic, sapphire crystal, waterproof to 200M, filled w/ inert gas and the tegimented steel is something like five times harder than the usual steel used in a watch. I've been (literally) banging it around the cockpit for over a year and it still looks like the day I got it.

If you break or scratch it, you've got a lot bigger problems as you've just driven into a mountain or something like that-- Yay, Sinn!

The only issue I have heard of is the crystal has AR coating on the outside that will scratch but it can be polished off. I think this is going to be in my collection for a while, its a perfect all around watch.

Just got this today. A little bitter sweet as this watch symbolizes the new beginnings for my life from my divorce. Excuse the lighting as I just took some quick pics.

Truth be told, I would rather not be getting this watch for that reason. But it is what it is. Been eyeing this watch for a couple of years and promised myself I would get it after my divorce.

On a side note, I did speak to the owner of Detroit Watch Company, Patrick. Extremely pleasant guy and willing to answer all questions. He even volunteered a bunch of information about the watch I didn't think to ask.

There's positives in everything in life. You get gonorrhea, ya it sucks, the positive is, you learned not to go and fuck that broad again. Positives.

Thank you.

It is. The movement is a 7751.

I'll have to take a better pic of the watch itself. The way I took it implies the hands are dark. The main hands are actually silver. The subdial hands are blued.

Thanks for the well wishes and hope all the same for you too.
