so the caliper on the M Perf would also be bigger to accommodate the larger disks right? reason i ask is they look the same in the pics just different color..

They are definitely bigger:
- m sport brake: 17" rim min
- m performance brake: 18" rim min
You have also to watch out clearance to back of spoke and choose correct offset accordingly (depends on wheel spoke design)...

Have a look to rim brand AEZ (I have got the Sydney Dark but for you Antigua is perhaps better), these rims are specifically designed for BMW and with different offset possibilities. All possible rim/model combination are TUV certified. They are made in Germany.
Ok. Thanks. Will get a look at these AEZ rims. I'm using 18' BBS Re-v (forged) currently and thinking of getting a set of 19' BBS CH-R. Offset for my 118i F20 is front 48 and rear 52.

I am also considering 19' prodrive GC-012L but that looks kind of plain to me.

Still thinking hard which to get.

If my options for aftermarket brakes limited, then will probably settle for bigger rims and get the M perf brakes.
With my AEZ rims I was proposing reasonable price rims
I believe you can keep 18" with m perf brakes and perhaps just reduce ET or add a spacer... In my case I had to go to ET40 from ET45 because spoke design of these AEZ rims is not as slim as BMW wheels. But with forging I would expect your bbs rims to have quite slim spoke design...

Anyone knows what's the price for replacement brake pads on M Sport brakes?
Is it that more expensive from basic pads?
I want to order my 116i with sport brakes but future costs are important...

I'm afraid not, as the inner diameter touches the rear of the calipers. Using spacers would pushes the wheel out but does not address the inner diameter problem. Hence 19' rims are required.

It's definitely more costly than the basic brake pads due to different type of materials used.
