Interior pic thread
We've got a nice pic thread going of members car, most of which just have exterior shots.
Would be interested to see interior pics of guys cars, given the number of different options and colours available it would be cool to see how the toys and colours have all come together on the inside! |

How are you getting on with those seats? I liked them on the test drive but I've always had leather in the past, do they stay comfortable over a long journey?
If mine ever gets delivered it'll be pretty much the same as yours, M Sport, but with an oar to row the gears with and the hideously priced big screen. All I'll need after that is a trip to poundland for some magic trees and have the his'n'her name stickers put on the top of the windscreen |

Dealer gave it to me! But I priced them, not that expensive. They available in the colour lines of the 1 and 3 series, but you could simply choose one with a red highlight for example if your car is red or a plain black as its just nice to protect the key.
They gave my mom one with a cream highlight, meant for an urban line 1 I think but matches her 5 series oyster interior. The 5 series don't come with a colour spider on the key itself. Only thing is it attaches with a special tool to screw it in, a non standard type Allen key. Not that there is ever much reason to take it off as you'd attach the rest of your keys to the small clip on the side, but don't lose the tool! Edit for pic of the key box showing different colours available. And to show the urban line cover, chosen presumably because it matches the oyster interior quite nicely. Note the 5 series key has an extra button. Turns on the exterior lights (or is set up for different markets to activate the alarm) Come on BMW, give your humble 1 series drivers an extra button! It's just another 'nice to have! Last edited by diesel20; 04-02-2013 at 07:32 AM.. |

As with a lot of sports seats I'm surprised really big guys don't find them very tight. I have the bolsters on the widest setting and that suits my average frame perfectly! But then I've seen massive guys perfectly at home in Z4M's, an interior and seat combo I've found really tight, and I'm really not that big built. |

Factory option, works out about 60% of the cost of the full size professional nav. For reference, I've got album art function (part of extended bluetooth I think) voice control (also B/T I think) and basically nav that works as well as the prof, it's got birds eye view feature etc, shows me which lane to be in on for offramps on the highway etc. Can also play music through bluetooth on my phone.Only thing I think is missing had I paid extra for SA6NF: [Extended connectivity of the music player in the mobile phone convenient integration of iPhone3, iPhone3 GS or iPhone4 by means of separately orderable snap-in adapter (available through BMW Parts and Accessories), playback of music from the smartphone via the in-car speaker system, music tracks names shown on the Control Display] Is it doesn't show song name and album art. I think? Never use this feature because I prefer managing my music on my ipod. But the extended bluetooth gives me the ability to snap in a cradle and use the charging function and external aerial of the car. Only features that are missing compared to the prof nav fitted to my moms 528i is obviously the bigger screen, the split screen function (it is nicer to have the arrows on a separate side of the screen then slightly cramped onto my screen size especially) and I can't access my cell phone messages on the screen or have them read back to me by voice control. This makes using the snap in cradle I got for the phone a bit annoying at times as I have to look at the screen itself for messages, and I don't get that little message icon on idrive like I'd get on prof nav to show I've got a new message, so I don't know I have a message unless I feel the phone vibrate through the arm rest or hear its ring. In truth it's not perfect on prof nav either as it can't display messages received before the phone was connected for that particular session. The bus nav also has the idrive controller with extra buttons obviously. Last edited by diesel20; 04-02-2013 at 09:12 AM.. |

Might as well add some pictures. Took these a few weeks back, and meant to post them with along with a few exterior shots taken after I've fitted the summer wheels. But the winter never seems to end this year, so why not just post them... They're only close-ups because I didn't have a wide enough lens with me at the time. |

Nice! Was front PDC sensors part of the SE package or did you add those as well?

In the UK the Driver Comfort Pack (£500 Option) comes with Rear PDC, Servotronic Steering and Cruise Control. For an extra charge you can add front PDC to that pack. Cheers Lee |
