Pre LCI vs LCI heater / AC controls

Hi
Is it possible to just swap the old orange display cersion of the heater controls for the newer White LED display version ? I’d make sure I get the exact same looking unit so there’s no change to the control lay out etc .
The only difference being the display panel or would this need coding?

Doesn't it change colour depending on daylight, like it does in the instrument panel? I couldn't remember what our LCI-car does now, so I searched internet for pictures of LCI-interiors. I found both orange and white ones.

By the way, I think the orange looks best! :-)

I think the white LED one is from the 2015-2017 facelift and the orange from the pre facelift

But do you know if the white one will require coding in a 2013 model?

Today I checked the colour of the AC module in our 2016 F20 LCI.
It is white at daytime, and turns orange at night (and in tunnels).
