F20lci limited slip diff

I'd really like to fit limited slip differential to my 3/2017 125. When i requested a quote for Quaife diff unit and installation work, i got informed that OEM differential removal required machining. This obviously raised the quote quite a bit.

So is there an easier or bolt-on alternative?
- Swap differential from M car (which one would be suitable by construction and differential)?
- Get a differential from older F20 as i remember that they do not require machining?
- Something else?
