When to change antifreeze? How many liters?

I have a B38 Engine 2015 118i LCI vehicle. The Antifreeze Water level appears below. Should I do a complete replacement? How many liters should I buy? Or is it enough to just add?

See your manual. It does not look like replacement is ever necessary, just to add should be fine (provided there's no leak to fix). Mind the concentration: BMW coolant takes distilled water to be 50/50 mixed with (see the bottle label ).

hi, the manual says "consult your dealer. Not all liquids sold are suitable.".

I think I can use this product directly. Also without adding water.

Hi,

It's best to add the same one you have. That's buy from a dealer (if you still have the factory one). At the very least the colour must match.

While having the car serviced the last but one time I had just the coolant added (free of charge, so I made no water comment ). The last time I had the car serviced (an official service every time) the mechanic checked the density and made no comments on it. So a little of undiluted is fine but for colder climates only, as it increases frost resistance. Keep in mind that in a warmer climate higher concentration should make it more vulnerable to boiling.

And by the way, regarding how many litres it takes to replace. I have some VIN-based info regarding my car (N13 engine). It says 7 litres of antifreeze. FWIW
