So the 1series is going to be called the 2series? I guess BMW is trying to redo their small car run after realizing they couldnt call the M version of the 1series the M1. So if the number 2 is the new number 1, then down the road I wouldnt doubt it if we saw an M2.

So is there going to be a $5k+ increase because BMW decided to increase the model number?

According to a post I read earlier BMW will use a new set of nomenclature where sedans and wagons will have odd numbers while coupes will be even numbers. So current 1 series coupe becomes 2 series, 3 series coupe becomes 4 series etc

I like it ! There is no too muche changes compared to the actual 1-serie coupe !
But, the mirrors are changed here and I prefer those toward the actual Moreover the front of the car is really cute for a non M-package car ! |

I dunno, sure they look good, but they look like a complete rip off of the Mercedes side mirrors. |

The render is nice but it looks like a LCI than a new generation. When I look at the render, I picture the E90 to E90 LCI; the box look to a more rounded look. Same with the 1er to this 2er. It's exciting to see all these new renders but can be overwhelming just because of all the potential changes and now new model numbers!

Confuse me...
Why do they try so hard to confuse the brands/models when they are so well known?
How about 3series.gas.6cyl.with.4.doors.xi. ? Hope the change doesn't screw with resale, insurance, taxes, etc. LOL |

I guess BMW must be really worried about Audi customers not understanding the BMW product offered.
Its also very stupid to use the number 4 to sell cars in asian countries - I can't believe this has come up again. |
