I am having some issues with upgrading my entertainment software. My current version is 8.013.12.. When downloading the update from BMW.COM it says that the current version is 8.5.5 but my car says that it is currently up-to-date. This confirms that the car is reading the flash drive (I have tried a few) and it also confirms that the update is presumably correct for the car but I dont know why it wont update.

I have also taken the car in for the dealers to up date any they give it back saying it is already running the latest software despite what BMW.COM says

This was done via USB... My car is not connected to the web, thus USB is my only option

Possibly you could see if you can find another user with the 8.5.5 version and determine if the file name of that they have is different to the one you are downloading.
