As was pointed out earlier, the allowance for more wind tunnel time for the bottom teams while lowering it for top finishing teams could make a difference since it's such a different aero package.

I also am very curious about how teams play with the cock pit positioning, because the farther up they move the cock pit the longer the underbody tunnels will be meaning more effective space for down force generation. However the farther up the cockpit will be means the closer the tunnels will be to the front wheels and thus a huge risk of wheel wake ingestion which is a really bad thing for the venturi effect, plus no barge boards to condition this air flow. So it will be interesting how the teams play with this length.

But imo RB has been stagnant since the exhaust blown diffuser days, literally they copied mercedes on their rear suspension design and narrow nose concept, so mercedes is doing something right.

But again this is totally new regs anything can happen. Maybe we are looking at AMR the 2022 constructors and drivers champion.
So far we didn't saw anything in detail . The only thing the teams showed to us are show cars , so actually 'fake F1 cars ...

They wont show their technical and aero design secrets to the other teams ..
You can see it as Tom&Jerry

Did you know that Mercedes bought 8 platforms (chassis) from the FIA prototype car ?
Just to build the (fake) Mercedes W13 show car presentation .

Red Bull bought some FIA chassis as well ,and Aston bought 4 FIA chassis .

The final ultimate machinery with all the technical top-secrets and aero design packages will be discovered March 20 at Bahrain .
The floor of the 2022 ground car effect will remain most likely top-secret like a top-secret weapon .

The AMR 22 was legitimate as you can see they used their precious filing say shaking down the same car they launched... McLaren also launched their legit car as per the team and that'll be confirmed on their filming day.

Mercedes has yet to launch their car, but they said they'll launch the real deal like they always do every single year on the reveal day.

The only team being deceptive is redbull (their choice who cares it is what it is), even Haas had a design that wasn't just a livery applied to the F1 narrow nose model.

Love the new mclaren livery. What’s not to like? The Kiwi on the rear wing stalk is awesome too.

I preferred the pink BWT stripe on the Aston.

I agree, I like the McLaren livery.

I also liked the bwt Pink stripe, it reminded me of the cherry blossom pink subaru would use on JDM models.

I hope the wheels are not representative of the ones that'll be in the race cars, so far they look like the bland space saver ones in some road cars.

Looking promising for this year.

HAAS - showed a little of what their car is going to look like
Aston Martin - they have shown the exact car, fair play to them and it was on track at Silverstone the following day doing some shakedown filming.
McLaren - looks like they have shown the real car but exposed less detail than AM, that’s normal but already it shows a completely different philosophy so it’s going to be interesting.
Redbull - 100% show car, only livery will match gives us nothing.

Let’s see what the rest do, looks promising through, shame Redbull didn’t even give a peak, ho hum. They failed the crash test it appears so maybe they are still tweaking things.

The livery is a bit wishy washy like the wrapping from my Gillette blade holders card and the race suit colors completely clash with the car body, it's understandable they want to make some impact from this but to me it's a mess, dark tracer, a better tomorrow..what are they on about lol

I could care less what the Mclaren looks like. Just want to see more podium finishes from Lando. Let's do it Lando!

Can't wait to finally attend Austin this year!

TBH after thinking about the looks of these cars, I'm thinking in terms of from best liveries to worst right now it is:

1) Aston martin - this could be the best looking car of the year imo, that green is really nice. The yellow accents are pretty good, highlighting the aston martin logos in yellow and the sponsors in white.

2) Mclaren's orange livery with the grey looks really good, and the baby blue highlights are really nice. I really like this look, but imo the aston looks better.

3) redbull is pretty much the same since 2016 and honestly it looks stale, old and tbh really boring and might be at the bottom this year if it weren't for haas.

4) Haas literally the same thing said about redbull being it is just a copy and paste from last year with a bit of clean up.

Seems to be Ferrari are going to be black and red this year. A few sponsor changes and they have given most of last years development and the year before into the 2022 car.

It’s been a long time since they have really changed and with more money than anyone else they really should be doing better, maybe this is the year.
