Handbrake issue
I replaced my handbrake lever trim with a carbon fibre one. Had to yank pretty hard to take it out, now my handbrake doesn't click at the highest point. It'll click 4 times, before it used to 6 times.
Any ideas how to fix this? |

Shove it back. AFAIK 4 to 6 clicks are fine. Does it work well still (hold the car)? There should be an adjustment screw, this one I would guess: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...72#34416851438. It doesn't look like you could break it yanking the handle: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_1973. Otherwise that should be repaired, of course.

It holds it just on a slight incline, but on a bigger slope, it still rolls. Would it be a screw under the lever then? Is that where the adjustment screw is? |

I don't know. But here's a similar thread and RealOEM shows the same pictures for that car's handbrake: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1947846.

I was thinking of adjusting my handbrake but the adjustment is done at the wheel on the F20. There's no adjusters on the handbrake lever. It takes 4 clicks to hold the car and on a slope, it only just holds.
