Uh AFAIK the RX-8 is known as a pretty good handling car. I'm not surprised about the acceleration contest but the handling department is what I'm impressed with.

Can't any 335i owners give any credit to any other car?

Not when that is the first review to give it a good rating in handling. (did it even I didn't bother to watch it)

Well, you get what you pay for. I too am still a bit surprised that the 1er out handles the RX-8 though.

it's such a pleasure to drive the RX8... so much fun and the sound from it's high rev engine is awesome...it handles pretty good too...i feel more confident with it than my 335... the 135 might have beat it but i want to know if the 135 is as fun to drive than the RX8

When you say more confident do you mean high G turns or at high speed? Just curious...always wanted to drive an RX-8 but never had the opportunity.

Can someone point out to me where they said the 135i was better handling? I mean, at the end they do pros and cons for each car. You can say that one of the pros of a 135i is that it handles well without saying that it handles better than the RX-8. If you put the two on a track, that's a serious power disadvantage to overcome. No torque whatsoever, requires ridiculous revs, you can't power out of anything like you could in an X35i. It's not like the 335i people are not trying to give you any credit. It's just not that impressive of a feat.

The RX-8 is slow, wow.

Have a friend who has one, I thought it was slow, but it is honda civic slow.

No torque from that engine at all.

What's wrong with the handling of the 135i. In all reviews it has been said to drive like a slightly smaller, slightly nimbler 335i. Which is a good thing.

The only "negative" thing I've heard about the handling is the fact that it is biased toward understeer, which is in fact a positive thing for 99.9% of us that will never track our cars. Not only that, but all stock BMW's come from the factory with a tendency to understeer, including your almighty 335i.

For those of us who do want to track, a set of swaybars will get the rear to swing out much easier.

The video didn't seem to have any skidpad numbers. So I'm not sure the 135i would really outhandle an RX-8 as far as grip and cornering is concerned. ON the track though, it wouldn't matter, the BMW handles well enough and the engine is way more than enough to make up for any lack in handling.

And no beating up an RX8 in a straight line is not impressive at all. The RX8 is slow.

135i will do everything a 335i will do performance-wise for $5-6k less. Looks are subjective, but I think they both look great.

the RX8 feels more stable at both...u should test drive one... don't bother driving the AT's... too weak... u'll would notice it's powerlessness so much that u would forget about it's handling... try the MT's ... they are a lil better...

Interesting. After months of 1 series guys talking and talking, they are pretty much equals. I really want to see a vid of both against each other at a track. If the 135 doesnt win by a large margin, its a failure.

Race a 3rd gen rx-7 twin turbo and beat it, then I'll be impressed. Most of them are modified so if you lose it wouldn't be a bad loss .
