F20 Year 2013 116D

Hi All,

I have a 2013 F20 BMW 1 Series 116D, my heated rear window has stopped working. I have checked the fuse (no. 80) and that is ok. Could anybody advise where on the car is the relay for this? I have checked the fuse boxes located in the engine bay, in the boot and in the boot right side.

Hi David,

Are you sure your battery is charged sufficiently? The "relay" to blame can be the computer saving energy. Say, does your outside mirrors heating work? Also seats heating if present, power socket(s)(/cigarette lighter if present)?

Yes, i can confirm my battery is good (Engine off 12.78v, Engine on 15.5v).

Yes, my outside mirror's heating does work.

I don't have heated seats and power socket/cigarette lighter works fine.

I have found another thread which had the same problem and they found the issue to be a bad soldering of main contact from factory so it broke.

I believe there must be a relay somewhere in the for this but not sure where it is.
