So... tell one thing.. if I try the donor cluster in the car, the red dot will appear I know..
But can I put the original one again and everything is back to normal?
No red dot in the original one?

What do you mean?

It's not a simple matter to swap the kombi so why would you want to swap back?

Not sure that would work although I guess you could try the hidden menu test and see if the symbol and leds come on.

Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN into realoem.com
and then you can see the part numbers of the kombis fitted to your model of car.

Thank you for the info!

I already did it and mine does not in fact have 544...

If my donor cluster does not appear in the realoem for my specific car I cant use it?

In this case I have to use one that ends in 208?

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=62108794211

What is strange ?

The original cluster ends in 203..

But does not have 249 neither 544 but I coded the MFSW

So I need for example the one that ends in 208, correct?

If my donor cluster is for a F20 2012 and do not show in realoem I cant program it to the car, thats it?

My 7 last VIN digits are V965255

Hello IJO, thanks for all your help and patience.

I already manage to get CC on my car.

Just for you to know and for future reference, the car does not have to have hill assist.

I swap the cluster to the one I mencioned earlier.

Altough it is strange that the part number for that particular cluster doens't appear in the realoem.

I will make a post it full instructions on the procedure.

That's good news. So dynamic cruise is working now. No problems with vin etc for the new cluster?

So do you see the CC indicator between the dials and the moving red dot changes to green when the CC is activated?

Do you feel the brakes hold your speed on a steep hill?

Hello Guys,

Same issue here - I retrofitted MF buttons to my stearing wheel and done the coding but eventually I found out that my Instrument cluster does not support the Cruise control.

Now I have the option to buy another cluster with Part# 6805199 and I tried to check it on RealOEM.com but still not sure if it would be compatable - this is a Sport line cluster from F20 B38 LCI and my f20 is 2011. Urban line with N13 engine and VIN#E906853

Any good advise on this one?

The cluster from a pre LCI F20 which has the speed limiter will work.

My 2014 116i Sport had the limiter so the cluster has the leds. I just added the CC buttons to the steering wheel and did the coding.

I'd check realoem.com for the part number using my vin : E696586

Thanks for the quick response!

Totally agree with you and I used your VIN# and I think I've got Part# 6805194 (very similar to cluster 6805199 I mentioned above).

However, when I entrer realoem.com I'm receivig a lot of pop up Adds and the row files are looking a little bit strange - could you please check it on your end just to be sure that 6805194 is the correct cluster for your model?

Much appreciated!

I agree the cluttering with ads is terrible and almost makes the site unusable.

Can you find out if the ones you have found have been on a car that had the speed limiter - i.e the steering wheel will have had the limiter buttons?

Both numbers are for kombis from 2015 so best to find one close to the age of your car. I don't know what my kombi part number is and there doesn't seem to be a way for knowing which supports the speed limiter. I am guessing that the 'sport line' displays do.

My car needs mph version, not kph so different part number.

These are the ones superceded by the numbers you gave.

All noted - I was aware that your f20 is right hand drive with mph cluster so I was browsing through Sport line ones with kph.

I get it that Combis with speed limiter are using the same leds for Cruse control but it is hard to confirm that option even with the VIN# provided...

Anyway, you are suggesting that safer option for me is try to find the Supersedes from above that are closer to my age such as the following ones:

It's nothing but an educated guess that one of the Sportline kombis from the around the same year will have the leds because, as you say, there is no way to know from the VO/options list.

My car had 249 in the list because it had the limiter and I added 544 during the coding.
