Hey all,

I've got a 2014 M135i and it seems to be burning a lot of oil. I've been having to add 1 litre every 800 miles for the last 3000 odd miles so it's pretty bad. The valve cover and oil filter gasket have both been changed recently and no signs of a leak at all - i'm also not seeing any smoke at all when driving.

After previously topping up, I'd driven 800 miles, taking it very easy and mainly cruising on the motorway. I then decided to drive the next 60 odd miles hard, redlining, WOT etc... (making sure the engine was warm prior) and I've now lost 1 litre in a matter of a few days after 800 miles of losing nothing.

It's clearly losing a of oil but surely I'd see smoke if it was burning that quickly or signs of a leak if it was from somewhere? If there was a leak I'd assume it would go down pretty consistently but it hasn't so I'm baffled.
