This is kind of a gross question, has anyone ever had a swollen eye? I'm debating whether to go to emergency room or wait til Saturday to see Optometrist

Put some eye drops in, ice it, and it'll go away, only pussies go to the doctors.

Physical trauma to cells requires ice.
Eye infections require antiviral eye drops.

Not saline, that's for redness. Antiviral in case there's something going on in there and then ice it to reduce the swelling.

This is so painful, I cannot even put contacts in or make up on . I just woke up like this yesterday morning and thought it would go away but today its worse and more swollen. This doesnt cause blindness does it?

WTF is this?!! No itchyness, no burning sensation, no redness of the eye ball itsself. WEBMD is telling me I have cancer

Stop overreacting. If you go to the doctor they will probably give you medicated antiviral drops, an eye patch, and send you home.

Pull the lid open and see what it looks like in there.

Perhaps a cyst/blocked pore...it may just reduce size on its own....but if it bothers you I suggest Dr.

It looks normal inside but its sore to touch. I texted him the same pic, he says 90% a "stye" either from dirt or make up that I slept in over night is blocking a pore. I can wait out or he can open it up himself to relieve pressure. I'm opting for the fastest route. Slice me open doc.

No thank you. I wish you a quick recovery and the doc a steady hand.

Stop by get a bottle of Capt Morgan and pirate hat, post pic with eye patch. Comedy factor of 10. Seriously though get that thing looked at, swollen finger see what happens you got nine others. Eye problems double time to a doctor, that's what insurance is for.

I've had that before, i think it was allergies related/cold. Take some vitamin C, no need to go see a doctor.

Stye is correct answer here....

You do realize he'll cut the skin outside the eye - thus leaving a scar...

I remember when I got arc flash from MIG welding back in Highschool. I woke up around 2am and couldn't open my eyes, literally at all. I had to crawl through the house feeling around to make it to the bathroom to get a cold wash cloth.

I then laid in bed for probably 5 hours, missed school, until I could barely open my eyes. I was convinced for about 4 hours that I'd gone blind and didn't know what to do with myself because nobody was home.

Fucking scary man.

Stay away from those little paper squares with CBs Woodstock on it.
That's crazy scarey. They say don't look at the arc flash but you always end up having to look
