Wink

Listening to some Pink Floyd vinyl tonight. English food sucks, but perhaps it was because they were busy mastering literature and music?

Looks good but I believe that's some DJ/Pro gear and most of this thread is focused around HiFi

I still have all of my records from the 70's and 80's. I haven't listened to them in 40 years.

Great album, the unplugged series as a whole was great.. I feel like the tinydesk concerts on youtube capture a similar vibe in modern times.

Yes, it was an amazing series! Yes, it kinda does) I think there were also some very nice remote recordings done during the pandemic. Not the same thing, of course

Perhaps change the title of the thread to something more accurate like "For audiophiles", "High end audio" , "or what records do you play" or similar, the term "spinning vinyl" was from the 1960s and 1970s, "spinning" was a term for the ritual of playing albums, particularly in the context of Motown, rock, and disco.

DJ Culture took that up and the phrase was popularized by DJs in the 1970s and 1980s, referring to the act of mixing records,, which required precise handling of the "spinning" discs.

I've owned Marantz, NAD, JBL, AR. And all speakers used OFC. I even had a set of original BBC Ls3 monitors. My Dad even had a Linn Sondek LP12, he was passing it to me until it got stolen.

I changed tack from $5grand turntables to $55 grand BMW's

Don't misread the "DJ Vibe" I studied classical music, play piano and guitar, I listen to everything From Brahms to Tupac. I dabble in music production and my setup, is pro. also all of that is NON-Replaceable in case of a insurance claim.

I have over 1000 records, mainly in the genre of 1950's Rock & Roll, 40's50's60'70'80' soul, big band, original hip-hop, reggae, Desi (indian), (to name but a few) if you include, my minidsic library, and mp3 and cassette tape, I probably have over 10'000 tracks, 20% of which are BPM'd about 50% are all catalogued, by artist, label, date, release date.

I host a 1950's rock and roll radio show (real radio, not internet) for the last 10 years in Canada.

So if there is any thread, that I can drop a response to this would be one.

Take care

No, the thread is about vinyl records. Not turntables, not amps or speakers. Vinyl of any size, color, etc.

No need to be getting too specific, I think it's all fair game; at least I like seeing the high end audio gear and any related aspects. I notice the first post of this thread was a discussion of a turntable and cartridge, not what was being played.
