125d sportauto 45km commute, avg 85 kph, summer 5,3 l/100k, winter 6,0 l/100k.
If you push it you can travel the same distance on just 4,3 l/100k and still averaging 85 kph but that requires open roads and loads of patience All figures according to the computer so I'd figure they are a little higher in reality. My F20 is using a lot less oil than my previous E87 120d, anyone else experiencing the same? Last edited by Jeans; 02-18-2014 at 10:57 AM.. Reason: forgot to mention auto |

Hi,
My F21 2014 is doing 8 kms/lt in average on Mexico´s city horrible traffic. I´m a little disappointed because I thought that I would have like 11 or 12 in the city. |

Hi, F20 125i, manual, M-Performance power kit, 5200km on clock, 7.9l/100km. 80% highway 130-150km/h with quite a lot of accelerations, 20% city driving.

116i. I get 7.2 l/100Km in Comfort mode in mixed city/motorway, not pushing on the accelerator too hard and with Auto Start Stop disabled. I am going to try 98 octanes next and see how many more Kms I can squeeze out.

My 116i manual fuel consumption
Hello All
My car is 116i manual. The total average i see is 13.8 km/L. The "eco pro" is doing well and save a lot of fuel but, you also need discipline Recently, I drove to Eilat for the weekend. It is ~500Km per direction. It is a mix of highway ("Eco pro") and desert open roads ("sport") and a bit ("comport") in Eilat. The overall consuption was 16.0 Km/L which is amazing for this car and the drive fun and quality that i had. Love my Bimer |

Have you tried driving the same road with Eco Pro and Comfort, with the same driving style? In our 116i, the consumption seems to be the same, so I don't quite see the point of the Eco Pro mode.

*Oh yes, Sport gives also better steering, but it has nothing to do with fuel consumption, has it? |

I think Eco Pro would be better termed "Minimum Emissions" rather than suggesting maximum economy as by driving carefully you can get similar mpg gains.

you are right. you can achieve very good fuel consumption by discipline.
Yesterday, I drove ~130Km very easy on the gas ... accelerating very slowly ... I was in Normal mode but without any AC ... Here is the results ... Amazing ... |

Hi, my F20 120i (Japan version of 125i) does around 9-10km/ltr in Tokyo city.
If I constantly check tire pressure at the right level, it tend to be 10km/ltr. In summer, it goes to 8km/ltr when you are having fun!

125i F21, 7,6L/100km overall mean, easy 6 on highway and eco drive, 9 at sporty or careless drive. Even on track days never above 14. The B48 is a great engine, power to efficiency is brilliant.
Eco pro adds a bit if you already drive at maximum efficiency conditions, but most people don't get any advantage, because this conditions are rare. City drive, traffic, highway speeds, all this is less efficient in eco pro in my experience. But hypermilers will get their extra miles with it, I do notice so, good to have it, yes but not for everyone everyday. As a general rule comfort is the more optimal overall , and sport is even better efficient in demanding conditions. (uphill, traffic etc) |
