Yeah majorly disappointed when I seem the front of the 2er. I was dreading this day as I thought I'd regret going for the 1 series. Much prefer the 1er. Would look like a ford focus with that front end.

really don't like the old 1er or new 2er coupé
3er(4er) and 6er are so much better proportioned,

I don't think you can just transplant the coupe front end on the hatch. The designs are completely different.
At least the coupe turned get hit with the ugly stick like the F20 - That kind of styling is just about enough to stop me from buying one. |

Found out today mine should be with the dealers now and ready for collection next week. Thanks for the link. You can see the elements as seen on the M235i coupe in those shots. Would be nice if this was an updated aero performance accessory rather than the facelift. |

Hardly conclusive is it? Seen these pics years ago.... Was supposedly for the FWD 1er.... So what's changed?

Can't really see much under the disguise. If it looks more like the 2-series photos, it will actually look more bland and old-fashioned than the current look...

Looks exactly the same as the earlier pics, wish they would confirm something. Not gonna be impressed if my car that hasn't even been delivered yet is out of date :-(

Every adaptation rendering the front lights less fishbowl like and the area around the kidneys less massively unsculpted is welcome. Just a bummer for everybody that has bought one.
I always expected that BMW could only get away with it because there was no new A-class, A3 or Golf VII or Volvo V40 available. Since they are now, the Bimmer is not only required to be good, it has to drop his retarded looks also. |

To be honest I really like the current series 1. Or to be honest, the series 1 with the M Sport pack. I expect her the end of June and I am really really happy. If they put this kind of lights in the front, the back will immediatelly look as a back of another car... Anyway, for the owners of the current 1er it is an easy and not expensive thing to do for having the new front. Just a pair of headlamps and a new bumper. The other parts are exactly the same for not "printing" new mettalic parts that would cost millions...

Well that's disappointing. I don't think it's for the new FWD version as the car in the pic is clearly an m135i.
Hopefully for those who have just purchased, we won't see the finished product until well into next year. For what it's worth, I actually really like the front end, especially with my m kit. I'm not a massive fan of the rear end though. If anything, I think the tail lights need to be changed, not the front! |

I really doubt this is going to happen. Do you really think a facelift will adress JUST the lights? Apart from a few websites on the net, I highly doubt BMW is struggling to sell the car and would look at a facelift this early to help with sales?
I prefer the current F20 look! Besides, they still sell the E82 coupé. Three generations of a car available within close succession? |

Why the hustle about the "new" pics?
You don't seen an LCI or Facelift there, only a new M / M Performance front bumper (looking similar to the M6 front bumper or of the F80 M3) but identical headlights. |

Even if you are wrong, I'm over it. I knew the C30 was getting a facelift when I bought one of them a few years back, and I'm so glad I did. The newer C30 was a mess. Cant wait until Saturday
