Nice one, Ed. Love the tone. Not the usual gray scale look.

Your rolling pictures are always great! What kind of settings do you usually use? I believe fast shutter speed with both cars on same speed to get that focus? I've never tried it before.

Visited some Sonoma wineries that have had a hard time due to all the fires and power outages. Westdale here is the official greeter at the Kokomo Winery tasting room, outside Healdsburg.

Thank you. I think I have aperture set to like 1/60 and iso 100. The hard part to get a clean shot is to have both cars traveling the same speed. If one is going a little faster/slower, the focus is messed up.

I think you meant slower shutter speed. At 1/60 it is enough to freeze the subject with a steady hand but slow enough to get that blur effect for fast moving elements (e.g., road).

I'd add that it may require smaller aperture settings (means smaller opening) and low ISO as you already mentioned to get the shutter to be set to a slower settings, else one can easily overexpose. I'd imagine this will be a challenge to take at noon unless it is overcast like your nice photo or ND filters are used.

I think to get a better background motion blur it might require slower shutter speed than 1/60s, I think with in-body and lens stabilization even 1/30 speed should be able to capture the car provided both cars are at a similar speed. I will have to try it to get a better idea

Here's an image taken last December here in Lossiemouth. I've just been re-processing it and lightening up the shadows with a view to making a print of it. I've only just spotted the hint of aurora in the sky, and I'm amazed I never saw it before. Maybe I need to go to Specsavers !

Really nice, what lens/camera setup did you use?

Beautiful shot, Allan. I really need to pick up a new 24-105. Love that lens.

I'm stunned at the level of detail and clarity produced by the Sonys. Simply amazing.

Going to burn my retinas out tomorrow with the transit of Mercury across the Sun and thought I'd test out my drive and equipment. It worked out nicely.

I'm also seeing either coilovers, RSR super downs or the F down springs on there as well. I'm not a big fan of red cars, but I'm digging his. Nice ride. Gonna scope his insta.

I've noticed Lexus (stock) usually has very minimum and well balanced wheel gaps, and the wheels also sit more flush than BMW at-least. Even on AWD models. Or is it just me?
