Hello Shawn,

I saw in this forum that you are a expert on bmw coding etc,

My dad has a 2020 bmw X1 with entrynav2 Europe map 2021-3 P2021B1R
I wanted to update it like my own f20 with nbt evo but it doesn’t work that way anymore.
Is it very difficult to do and what do I all need to get him a 2024 map?

Or maybe even put CarPlay on it because he has everything you need even WiFi hotspot.

Good day. Could you help me? My friend asked me to update the maps. He has an old version from 2014. Unfortunately, the activation code did not work and after several attempts, the navigation does not work at all (asks for a code). Please, how can I restore the old code or can I only use a new one?

I was looking for a latest map update and if will need a FSC code too? for my F87 M2 Model Year 2017

having been lurking in the shadows a while gathering up information ive hit a stumbling block and need some expert advice.
i want to update my nav unit and have sourced the tools neccesary to get my 1b file, and generate an fsc code
i have downloaded the latest map files which were europe premium 2025-1
i have what i believe is the latest lookup.xml i could find from 2023 which only gives me europe premium 2022

my questions are,
firstly is there a newer xml that ive not found ?
secondly, should i find an older map file and run that for now ?
thirdly, can i run an older map with a lifetime key for that one , then usb the 2025-1 maps so no key needed ?
fourthly, can i add a line to the xml for the 2025-1 maps and if so , how ?

sorry for the questions, but this is my first bmw and want to get it all upto date as its been neglected on that front but the car is superb so deserves the effort,

Thread is for ENTRYNAV2 Head Unit, not old CIC Head Unit. Totally different. In your case, just update to correct Lookup.xml, and nothing else matters.
