Quite impressive for the M135i. I found the M135i performance in the long power straights to be surprisingly better than the M3; also I was surprised by the M3's great cornering ability despite the weight disadvantage vs the M135i. The M135i pulling out of corners faster, however was as expected given the torque advantage. Driver skill differentials notwithstanding, the M135i is quite a package and a bargain for what you get.

Ahh! I was just about to make this comment, but glad to have scrolled down to see you already made it. It sounded like the M3 had to go through the entire range every time he came out of those corners. I'm no race car driver, nor have have I driven the ring (outside of Forza), but it seems like it would have shown much better against the M135 if it was kept in the midrange.

Since the X1 x-drive comes w hydraulic steering I wonder if you could get the M235i in x-drive and would come w hydraulic as well - that would be quite awesome really

Sportauto put them to the track, not big differend, but M135 has better tyres and they measured lot more than 320hp on dyno.

Apparently build slots for M135i's destined for Australia are incredibly rare. The dealer told us that they even had other Australian dealers ringing them asking if they'd give up the build slot or onsell our build to them.
Funny you should say that, husband got a call from the dealer this morning to ask if we wanted to pick the car up this Friday instead. HELLS YES! 3 more sleeps!
