If Nissan can return to the 240Z see and spirit, I'm in remembered when they came out with the 350z. Was one of the early fans in line To but one. Then test drove it and couldn't believe the chintzy interior and so so driving dynamics. The successor 370z was much better. Recent models are good deals compared to the Toybaru if you can get over the dated interior.
I do hope for some sort JDM sportscar revival. But also the economy casts a dark cloud. |

However, calling the 370Z a 50 grand car kind of illustrates my point about the car being treated a bit unfairly by enthusiasts. Everyone knows a Mustang GT costs about $35K. But if you throw enough options at it, you can actually get the price of a GT above $60K, and yet nobody is sitting here telling people the Mustang GT costs $60K. The 370Z starts at $30K. It essentially has the same engine and transmission as the Nismo. Why do we talk about 370Z pricing based on the maximum amount the car costs, while every single other car gets judged on its base price? I'm not even saying its a good buy at $30K mind you, i'm just saying its ended up on the wrong side of a certain amount of hyperbole that resides within the enthusiast community. |

Also super glad to hear they are using the V6TT from the Q60 Red Sport. The car will likely weigh around 3300 lbs so a 4 cylinder would have been inadequate. |

Reminds me of the F-Type but not as pretty.

It certainly looks and sounds promising with the rumored specs and pricing.

Hmm not sure how I feel about that rear. The taillights are a nice throwback, but those waterfall air curtain things...I don't know.

So all signs point to it just being a rebodied version of the old one. Which is a rebodied version of the one before that. Skip.
Would have been great if they'd made it something about 5/8 scale, but I guess Nissan has about as much money to develop things as Fiat right now. |
